Frank was a sublime musician, a fun loving guy, tremendous charcter and always good to be with. His story telling was supreme and had everybody in stitches! I remeber on one occasion Frank and a colluegue went to London to meet a group of musicians from Lithuania (I think). This was in the pre mobile phone era and the Lithuanians were late arriving which set off a domino effect with the planned logistics, but they eventually arrived in Bolton. Frank's description of the trip back and the hurdles they had to overcome is legendary!!!!!!

A lovely guy, always there to listen and offer counsel, which sometimes wasnt what you wanted to hear, but he was always truthful.

I really enjoyed the times I spent with him over many years  - may he rest in eternal peace.
